Attendance Allowance online application

Morning guys,
yesterday I helped my mum apply for attendance allowance using the online form. I helped my late father apply about 5 years ago, however it was the paper based form back then.
I am shocked at the lack of detail in the online form and how there wasn't any option to provide any real commentary regarding how mum's conditions affect her - it was literally a series of tick boxes with the odd box where you can type a few words.
I am worried that this lack of detail will impact her claim - she desperately needs it!!
Has anyone had any experience with the online form recently?

Hi @Bobroy81 I'm sorry you've not had a response to this yet. Have you heard anything back yet re your submission?

My parents applied for attendance allowance online for my dad a couple of years ago. They didn’t have a clue how to fill it in and put very little detail. I’m guessing that the DWP contacted my dads consultant as he was awarded the higher rate very quickly

Oh bless him. Pleased he's had a positive outcome.

Hi everyone x I have just applied online for attendance allowance and I too have noted there isn't space to explain myself and my condition fully. I assume they will contact me for details or contact my Dr as I couldn't give anywhere else for reference. It feels like it will waste time and I wish I'd waited for a paper application.
