Can someone help me understand what’s going on please
I put a claim in for lcwra in march and I had a phone call assignment 2 weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything what happens now?

Once the work capability assessment is completed and the report is written, it's returned to DWP. From there a decision can take up to 12 weeks. If you have access to a journal you will receive a letter on there once the decision is made.

thank you is it normal for the hole thing to take so long as I knew someone who’s claim took 3 and half months altogether

Timescales vary wildly for everyone. Backlogs and each individual case all add to the delays. So, yes it's normal.

It can vary quite widely @nell123. Some people here have waited over a year! Though that is uncommon and often a signal something has happened. It is often waiting for the assessment that takes the longest and you are past that now, so it should not be much longer 😊

does anyone know a time frame after the phone call assignment?? I was told 2 weeks but it’s just gone over 3?

As Poppy advised you previously, it can take up to three months following the assessment to get the results.
