Lcw to lcwra
hi my partner has been on lcw for a long while now he’s never been reviewed his mental health has declined since the assessment but we have always been worried to rock the boat to try to get lcwra and tbh I don’t think I filled in the forms correctly at the time but still worried bout him loosing everything if he gets assessed how do I go about it without having to send any sick notes off thanks

The only way for him to trigger a reassessment is to report a change of circumstances (worsening condition) and send in fit notes. Otherwise it is a case of waiting until they choose to reassess him.

To get LCWRA he needs to meet one of these descriptors.
You can either wait for a routine re assessment or report a change in health to start the process (requires a new Fit Note).
He would be sent a UC50 form and should expect a face to face/telephone assessment because most have them
With completing the UC50, I would seek help from local welfare rights, they are experts at what language to use and highlighting things that need to go down, that you haven't thought of yourself.
If he is given LCW again, or found fit for work, you can appeal that decision and argue for LCWRA.

he gets pip so he fits the descriptors for those I know they are a different benefit but are similar descriptors so hopefully he will get it as I feel I didn’t fill in the forms correctly the first time but when i applied for pip I had help filling it in but wanna wait to hear back from pip review first as having two different forms waiting for a decision will send my partner anxiety though the roof

I can understand waiting for the outcome of one before starting the other @Clarebryan2347. It means there are less unknown outcomes and for me personally at least it's the unknowns that cause the worry and anxiety.
If his conditions have worsened he should report that to his work coach and request a review of his work status. This will require a new sick note however as has already been mentioned.
Best of luck with the PIP review, and best of luck with his LCW review. We are always here if you have more questions about either, or just want a bit of reassurance/support about it. 😊

hi @Jimm_Scope tbh as far as I know we don’t have a work coach we haven’t had any calls from the job centre for over 12 months everything I’ve asked something on our jornal nobody has replied and even getting a decision about something from dm has taken forever so in the past didn’t want to poke the bear as they say and loose lcw but now feel we should be getting what we’re entitled to but gonna be a stressful one thanks for u help x
