Government want me go work me and partner where a long time ill disability
hi one mp was interview today saying putting disabilirs people into work. I have a learning disability and mental health I don’t know numbers and I can’t think because of my memory lost and my mental health. My partner in wheel chair but only can go out one a week because got carers can’t work well because I muscles failed away. So how can we work I got carer myself . This not fair

Hi @zane, when they say this they do not normally mean all disabled people. What they should be saying is what they fully mean. That those who, with some reasonable adjustments and proper healthcare, will be able to work. There are many who do want to work but either need better healthcare to get them in a better place. Or they are struggling to find workplaces willing to provide the reasonable adjustments they need.
I haven't heard anybody suggest getting people to work who simply are unable to work due to their conditions. I do understand however that the wording doesn't clearly say that, so can be worrying.
