What happens when robots and AI takes over jobs?

    What jobs will there be?

Reform's Richard Tice has a Girlfriend called Isabel Oakeshott who has called young, mentally ill people on out of work benefits "Parasites". Even Reform MP Rupert Lowe has and I'm paraphrasing described PIP as some privilege.

I'm not political, never voted ever, I can understand why people support Reform but I would never support them even if you paid me to. They're just Tories in Turquoise, they see Disabled people as dead wood, when I was on Twitter briefly some of their supporters said as much, like it's "Woke" to be disabled, it ain't woke, it's a day to day living hell.

Just because I go off of those two doesn't mean I support Labour, they've lost my respect also getting Blair's buddy Alan Milburn to direct Liz Kendall on this benefit reform. The more things change the more they remain the same.

I support anyone Left or Right who admits society has always had disabled people and that permanently disabled people need help and disabled people who can recover need the help in order to recover and smoothly integrate themselves into a place of work or study.

Hi everyone, a lot of the rhetoric about disabled people today has been horrible. If the news is distressing you I recommend reading through Mind's advice on dealing with distressing events in the news.

And what has been mentioned about any reforms having to go through a long legislative process is also correct. There are going to be many stages where voices, our voices, can be given on any proposals.

Thanks, why are they so anti disability, are we the only country like this, my brother in France gets better treatment, he gets help . He's got disability now, been there 12 years. What ever we got it's hard. So to be treated like nothing is disgusting

My problem is this about the Right Wing, why is it they swoon over elderly people about the Winter Fuel Allowance, many of whom will give that money to their grandchildren for Christmas, yet they hate disabled people on benefits, especially people with mental health issues, ok so try employing a Paranoid Schizophrenic to stack shelves in Tescos then.

What if you're Elderly and Disabled? I guess Reform will tongue-tie themselves.

There are people in society who are so mentally ill to the point they cannot work because they're not just a threat to themselves but to the public.

Why is it only in Britain this nonsense is allowed? Why isn't it a hate crime to abuse disabled people? If you think Mental Illness is a joke then why were there asylums? Why do people get sectioned? For a holiday?

All we can hope for is that the MP's and government hear us and see how much we disagree with them.

All we can do right now is sign a petition, at least it's better then nothing I suppose.

Apart from that all we can do is hope for the best.

I calmed down, sorry for the rant above. I hope nobody reading that was offended or affected.

I'm just tired of this hate towards disabled people, I know with help I can recover to some semblance of normality but there are people who will never recover and what of them?

Three important things which are the backbone of a society, you look after your elderly, your poor and your vulnerable. That isn't a religious message, it's something which should resonate with everyone's in built moral compasses.

NOt all pensioners are well off, my older sister and brother in law both also have disabilities. One woman rang up and spoke to Peter from Talk tv, that she was in one room, no heating due to the cost , it was minus 1, she had a tiny heater. She was crying. The presenters got the money and sent it to her.

One man was suffering from cancer was sitting under blankets ,had coats on. Pension credit, one it's a backlog, some people can't get it if they are 25p over. The form is 200 questions. They should make it a hate crime to cause hate to disabled .that I agree

As I've said previously on Scope Forum, we should set up our own Parliament, as the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish do. It would be 'ground breaking', very do able. It will let the Government know we exist and a force to be 'reckoned' with.

I don't trust Kendall, but she wasn't as harsh and as mean as Stride was with his comments back in March.

Apparently, looking at the headlines in tomorrows newspapers they have said that Labour are mainly targetting youth work or education. And that it doesn't contain any crackdown on disability benefits. Will have to see for sure how it turns out.

I heard any disability plans won't be coming till next year. I suspect this white paper is whatever Liz Kendall mentioned in her first speech when she got assigned as DWP secretary.
