Hello everyone

Just thought I'd ask a question about any charities you know of, that help to apply for an EHCP assessment. My son's school I don't think will be a lot of help to be honest. I've googled but not coming up with very much.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thank you

This link will help you find local help, most organisations deal with more than benefit claims, or if not can signpost you elsewhere

    Hi @Stroud2024

I really recommend reaching out to your local SENDIASS. You can search for your local one here

They provide free, impartial advice on topics related to SEN and education and their services support families with many things including support with requesting an EHC assessments and form filling.

This page has some good concise information on applying for an EHCP and what the process looks like.

Hope that's helpful, please reach out if you need further support or questions!

Thank you so so much. I think also it's a little more a struggle as I'm a parent that also has autism and ADHD. 😭🤣 So if course it is a big deal for any parent all of these things. I just can't seem to find the support I know I need for this part of getting my child the help he needs. It's exhausting I just need help applying. Anyway sorry haha I'm getting emotional. I'll try them thank you

Actually what I am looking for is actually not just tips and hints, I was looking for a charity that will sit and help me fill the application out. I don't think I have been clear because it's embarrassing that I need more help than I want to admit
