Hi, my name is Jake59Hello!
Hello everyone.
I hope that you are all very well. I have just joined this (great-looking!) community. I have recently been going through (and am still going through) a horrible time in my family (a very serious illness, and now disability) of a loved one.
A bit about me: when I was 17, I suffered a planet-sized malignant brain tumour (which was undiagnosed for months, by negligent GPs, causing three severe, life-long disabilities, and nearly death!). After that, I studied at a college for people with disabilities, which was wonderful. I have now worked there for c. 20 years, and I love it. I have a famous sense of humour at my workplace and elsewhere, am intensively positive and, I might suggest, I'm pleasant to people at all times.
Oh, two nice light-hearted, important things in my life: my two brother has told me two important things in my life. One told me that I might have malignant brain cancer, which started the process towards saving my life. The other one told me the penguin joke, which was far more important!
Why do penguins walk softly?
Because they can't walk, hardly!
Thank you for reading; VERY BEST WISHES
Jake

Hi Steve. Thank you so much for your kind reply. Your thorough pleasantness has just shone through in your recent post. Thank you so much for your kind concern for my family member.
I have a brief Christmas joke for you: how many chimneys does Santa descend every Christmas Eve?
Stacks!

Another bird related xmas joke for you.
Why do birds fly south for Xmas?
It's too far to walk.0 -
Ha ha ha. Very funny!
I have another bird-related joke for you:
Why don't polar bears eat penguins?
Because they can't get the wrappers off.
I had a plan to set up an aviation business, but, sadly, my plans didn't take flight, so the business couldn't get off the ground. Oh, a plane crashed into my house the other day. I heard the plane plummeting towards the house, so I rushed upstairs, just in time to see the landing!
