Pulmonary Embolism
has anyone had a PE ? and are you really anxious about it ?
Ive twice had PE’s and was hospitalised again last year with multiple PE’s in both lungs and a DVT.
Drs said it might have been due to my MH, I was in bed for days and wasn’t eating or drinking, I’m now on life long blood thinners.
I get really anxious about getting them again because my MH can get really bad and there’s days where I am still bed bound. My GP has said I need to try and go for a walk everyday but I can’t atm.

A very strange description. Lack of fluids increases blood clots in general. In any case, the fight against thrombus formation is the work of hematologists. Movement is necessary, but it is better without heavy load, at least doing light exercise in bed.

yes first time I had PE’s I was under haematology and had every test possible to rule out a blood clotting disorder etc , I then stopped blood thinners and had them again last year so was hospitalised for a few days and had lots of tests etc. Was told blood thinners for life coz it was the second time. Only thing that was said was that the DVT could’ve formed due to being bed bound and dehydrated, then broke and traveled to both lungs again. Even though im on thinners I still panic that they’ll happen again .
