UC & LCWRA
I moved from income support over to UC after receiving a migration letter. I was entitled to the transitional payment. However when my rent went up (I am claiming housing benefits) my transitional payment went down. Is this right?
I applied for LCWRA and was entitled from the 28th July 24. When should I receive my first payment? I get paid twice a month as I couldn’t cope with a monthly payment. My payment dates are the 3rd and 17th of each month. Any help and advise would be appreciated as I am so confused with it all

Transitional protection is designed so at the time of transfer, you aren't worse off compared to legacy benefits.
This does erode over time as other elements go up or new elements are added.
It's correct that when your Housing Element went up, the TP went down.
LCWRA will also erode your TP so there might not be any financial gain.
Do you claim UC with a partner, if so do they receive LCWRA?
