Hi, my name is bluestone2024! DLA will not tell me the decision, any advice?
DLA rang me requesting further information 22nd November. My baby is 8 months old and has a rare genetic condition, this is our first claim. I have since called twice and been told a decision has been made, they will not tell me what and I have not received a payment or letter yet. Causing sleepless nights with the stress of it all. It’s 2 weeks tomorrow since she called, is it possible it could take that a long to receive payment or if more likely we haven’t been awarded. TIA

If there's an award any money owed takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank once payment is sent.
Letters can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. It's impossible for me to predict what that decision maybe and you'll need to wait for that letter.
Once you know what that decision is if you're not happy you can challenge it by requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) if that fails you can proceed to Tribunal.

Finally received the decision over the phone 6th december our claim has been denied. Started a mandatory reconsideration then. Does the 25 week wait start from the date of decision 22nd November or 6th December? Thank you. Have sent all evidence off, hoping for a positive outcome.

MR timescales are up to 15 weeks from when you requested it. Most MR decisions tend to remain the same.
It's also extremely difficult to be awarded DLA for a baby because all babies need extra care and attention. For this reason I'd advise you to get some expert advice from an agency near you. This will help find one.

thanks, yes we have sent off letters from all the professionals involved. My baby is doing amazing but is our life the same as other peoples with a baby the same age without the condition unfortunately not. So sad we have to fight for this.
