i started putiing sick notes in from the 15th sept 2024, my health assessment was on the 15th oct, awarded lcwra on the 22nd oct, uc paid on the 3rd of each month, my question is when will the first payment be on my uc. thank you.

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in.

September/October: Partial AP, excluded from waiting period.

October/November: AP 1

November/December: AP2

December/January: AP 3

January/February: Eligible for LCWRA element.

3rd March: First LCWRA element paid*

No money is owed in backpay.

*If you have Transitional Protection on the claim, it will reduce by the LCWRA amount.

*If you have Carers Element in your name on the claim, LCWRA will replace this as the same person cannot get both.

*If you have a partner on your claim who gets LCWRA, no money will be paid as within a couple the maximum number of LCWRA elements is 1.
