Text from pip
I have a text basically saying we have not yet made a decision and basically they will write to me.Has anybody else had this?.I don't understand why based on the report they don't just say yes or no instead of dragging it out for months on end

The text is letting you know what stage things are currently at. That is one of the standard messages DWP send.
The report is probably in a big queue for the individual Decision Makers desk, and they haven't gotten to your case yet.
I know the waiting is difficult and hope that you hear something soon.

It's odd though because the assessor said I would know after 4 weeks.I am not actually stressed about this just curious. Its nothing like U.c that is a nightmare

The official timescale is anything up to 12 weeks.
The assessor works for an outside agency not the DWP, so they really shouldn't have told you that.

Yes well I'm starting to learn that you can't trust any if them now

Timescales are only ever a guide. To be honest, it’s like asking how long is a piece of string. I know that doesn’t help but there’s nothing more you can do but wait.

The crazy thing is it's supposed to make things easier by asking these outside agencies to assess and compile reports. But then a decision maker has to oversea what this assessor basically thinks. This is why the process takes months on end. Then if it doesn't go in your favour the mandatory reconsideration again takes it probably up to a year.

I've been reading heartbreaking accounts recently of people who haven't got awards for their children who clearly seem to meet the criteria.I know it is Dla and not pip but the wait time us just as long and system very similar

For someone who normally never gets sms texts messages and am waiting to receive any text about Pip now.Ive never received so many texts in my life from random things like reminders about opticians appointments,NHS texts,it's unbelievable.Talk about put you on edge. Its laughable really

So I still haven't heard any news about this or had a text and the a woman in my village said that generally after a week of thus this text you usually get an award text if you are awarded and a letter if you have not.so based on this I've not been awarded.

It's not "generally" a week after. Timesclaes very for everyone and there's no timescales after that text you received. Some have a decision within a week, some a few and some a lot longer. Backlogs and each individual case both add to delays with the decision. You can't speculate anything right now simply because you haven't heard anything after a week.
