Pip renewal
Hello I got someone to fill out my pip renewal form because was unable to understand the form or the questions. I have chronic memory issues and anxiety and depression along with physical health issues. All I know is they didn't state a great deal of facts because the form only has certain questions and the person filling out the form didn't put anything at the back of the form because they didn't know me personally.
As I was already receiving pip beforehand and had to reapply and received a text to say received the form a week ago,has anyone any ideas on how long a renewal of pip will take and do you think i will need to send in more details for my claim.
Is it the same time scale as if first applying.

Reviews are generally taking ages, much longer than a first application. - I sent my form back in March and did send further evidence a few months later so if you want to add anything to your renewal that shouldn’t be a problem.

I keep getting moved around in emergency accommodation with no fixed abode, so keeping up with any post is impossible. But if it takes months to go through I'll have to see what happens then. Why are renewals taking longer to process haven't we been through enough already in trying to deal with ongoing medical issues and not enough help for disabled people.

Possibly anything up to a year maybe longer. My review took 11 months or there abouts. The reason for the delays is because they've been concentrating on all the extra new claims for a considerable length of time.
You can send more information or evidence at anytime but you need to make sure you send it to the correct address.
Your PIP award will continue until a decision is made. If a decision isn't made by the time your award is due to end it will be extended for up to 1 year.

Thanks poppy it's too complicated for me alone to understand the application and not having a permanent address makes it even harder but I'll try and remember.
