New Diagnosis after PIP Renewal forms submitted

Hi - sent son's pip renewal forms off in October 2024. Current pip ends in May 2025. Son has epilepsy and anxiety - on meds for both. He currently gets lower rate DLA and Mobility.
This week he's formally been diagnosed with autism also. Should I just send the 1 page confirmation of diagnosis letter to PIP/DWP (from NHS/ Autism Specialist)?
The autism centre are following up with detailed report of assessment but not until later in the new year.
I did detail his issues in renewal, and a lot is same as originally provided. I did say in renewal he was waiting for autism assessment - not sure if it'll make much of a difference if I send in letter confirming his diagnosis?
Appreciate any thoughts? Thanks in advance x

To be clear, you mention a PIP renewal and that his award ends in May but then mention he currently receives lower rate DLA and mobility. Is that lower rate DLA a typo?
Regardless, more information can be sent at anytime, you just need to make sure you have the correct address and put his name and NI number on everything you send.
