A query.

Been on uc/lcwra pip (edl,em) since July 23. After a recent trip into hospital the gp has now added me as moderately frail level 6 for nhs scoring, this is in line with the pip assessment(not because though).

Is this something I would be best advising UC, it would i guess help if i get a review but as were capped out on max with CA and CE it wouldn't affect any awards but is there a chance of another WCA. I dont want to rock the boat so to speak and loosing the lcwra status would really set us back financially as well as my current medical state.

Im diagnosed with sleep apnea, asthma and sympathetic dominant dysautonomia, all after covid jab oct 22. As it is I go unconscious randomly and cant go anywhere alone, use a walker and mobility scooter, cant walk far but with the changes the gov are planning would I be expected to able to work.

The frailty score isn't a change in my condition per say but if there was another wca would they take this into account if i dont mention it.

You already have the maximum UC award so reporting changes is not going to make any difference to your claim. You need to be very careful about reporting changes like this because they could refer you for another work capability assessment.

My advice is to wait until your next review and then give all the details you need to on the form. Same applies to your PIP.

As for any potential changes, no one knows yet exactly what that maybe and we just need to wait until the Spring.

Hi poppy, that was my concern also that this would trigger a wca, not had a review as yet for UC and pip is awarded till 2028. There's confusion over the criteria for lcwra, currently my lack of mobility and unconscious states daily qualify me but some report said changes will mean I'm fit to work after april 2025 if i get a wca after then. Some have said that people on lcwra wont get a wca unless a change of circumstance.

I will err on the side of caution and as this does not change my conditions will follow advice and guess we will see what happens 2025.

    thank you

You are referring to proposals made by the previous Government.

They are best forgotten as Labour have said while they accept the welfare cost savings they inherited, they will be going their own way in making them.

Until the spring we really won't know much more.
