Pip assessment
I had my pip phone call assessment last week and got the results the other day and lower than expected. The assessor seemed nice, but they put that they " observed me not to be anxious or depressed" how they got that from a phone call I don't know. And yet I supplied medical notes confirming this aswell as CBT therapy letters confirming that I have severe anxiety.
I've not left the house in 4 months due to my worsening COPD and anxiety and they put that I'm able to plan a route.
I have asked for a mandatory reconsideration and told them why, and I let them know I have a recording of the assessment which I can send them. I listened to it and I found it very disturbing and very depressing listening to.
So got to wait 15 weeks to hear back.
They twist everything you say and try to trip you up.
I definitely recommend that you make a recording.

Hi @andylfc71 I am so sorry you're having to go through this, especially with anxiety etc. It must be really frustrating and upsetting. I certainly feel frustrated for you.
Hopefully if you're moving forward with the mandatory reconsideration it will bring the positive outcome you need.
I hope you're doing ok otherwise. Please let us know how you get on with the reconsideration, and most importantly take care of your needs in the meantime. You've got a community behind you. 😊
All the best,
Holly.

Thank you Holly,
It is truly frustrating and not helping my anxiety or self worth. It's like they don't believe the medical documents I've sent. I didn't want to ask for a MR because of low motivation and didn't want to go through it all again.
But have pushed myself to do it.
I will let you know how it goes and fingers crossed.
