Can I ask for a re assessment
hi all
I recently had my asd assessment and I’m not happy, can I ask to be re referred before getting the outcome? I know the long wait so don’t want to delay anymore than 8 have to by waiting

You can ask for a 2nd opinion but you need to wait for the results of this assessment first. This link is based on a child but it's the same for adults.

I'm sorry you're not happy with your assessment @apples. Was there anything in particular that concerned you about it?

When I had the slt someone else was sitting in I was told to monitor the assessor not me, as he was sitting next to me I felt my personal space was compromised therefore just quickly answered the questions so I could get out, so when I was asked specific questions I didn’t give truthful answers as I didn’t want to be asked further to be longer in the room

I can understand why that made you feel uncomfortable. Have you heard any more about the assessment or outcome @apples?
