I have applied for family reunification for my sons.
The application was successful and accepted. They came to UK, Scotland, Edinburgh six months ago. Now they have pre-settle statuse, BRC, (five years residency).
But the UC, two times refused to open accounts for them. They said: (this is because of the habitual residency). without any more details!! Even though it is written in the Statuse Outcome letter you can:
work in the UK .
Use the NHS .
Study in the UK .
Access public funds such as benefits and pensions, if you are eligible for them.
Travel in and out of the UK.
Also all other orgnizations refused to help them.
We need help to resolf these isues if possble please.
Kinde Regards
Galal Omer

Hi @galal and welcome to the community.
I'm so sorry to read this. Have you looked in to challenging the habitual residency?
If you haven't yet, I've added a link below which you may find helpful. This should take you to the area of the government website where you can do this.
Challenge a benefit decision (mandatory reconsideration): Eligibility - GOV.UK
Also, I've added another link which provides some key information about the test itself, tips on how to satisfy, and a little advice on what to do if you don't pass initially.
Habitual Residence Test - How to satisfy the habitual residence test? | Turn2us
I hope that this information if helpful to you. Please let us know how you get on and if you need anything more.
Also, I hope you don't mind that I've made some changes to your post title. It just makes it a little easier for others in the community who might be able to help or benefit from your post to find it when they're looking around the forum. I hope that's ok. 😊
Best wishes,
Holly.
