I am going to ask for a mental health advocate.

I am suffering with mental health and struggling ambulance been out 3 times on last 2 months with self harm/suicidal thoughts.

My cpn has never sent out mh support after each one . An ambulance medic on 2 occassions have advised and slam and done a referral for a care assessment.

My communication was email until it was recently cut as I have a fear of the phone. Severe agoraphobia. I have messaged last Thursday and Friday my support worker with no response.

I have a social worker appointed doing assessment which is taking a while due to my complexities. She is lovely though.

She said my care coordinator should have done a risk assessment and contingency plan and I can request a copy. Which I have no response.

I've asked what I should do over Xmas with safe guarding plan text 2 times . Support worker and social worker.

She said I can get a mental health advocate and complain to pals . She would assist me and to order a copy of all of my mh records .

Is pals the best to complain to and I'd an advocate of any use

Hi @charlie79, I'm really sorry you're having such a frustrating time getting the support you need.

To answer your questions: Yes, PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) is a good place to go if you're looking to file a complaint about your mental health care. They can guide you through the process and help with any concerns you might have.

As for the mental health advocate, they can definitely be helpful. Advocates can support you in navigating the healthcare system, ensuring your voice is heard, and making sure you receive the proper care and attention. They can also help with things like accessing your mental health records and ensuring your care plan is in place.

It might also help to keep reaching out to your social worker and support worker, even if it feels like a lot. Don't hesitate to let them know how urgently you need support.

I am under secondary care and having a situation with them . I have a fear of phone Internet ect. My ex put me in let's say where men pay money I trapped and made to this for a long period of time . He paid tax for me and many horrible things happened to me. I had no where to run and estranged fron a middle class concervative family whom I'd suffered abuse from an uncle who was a registered sex offender. And been to prison many times. My biological mother put him in prison at age of 7 for her abuse. The family protected him as he always approach the vulnerable. Who in that generation were never given a voice just a label. Long story. The nature of workand abuse he forced on me is not the usual case .

This may explain why I am struggling with Internet phone agoraphobia ptsd and unable to open my front door. The secondary care idea is that I'm just afraid to do these things and not understanding it is a deep seated fear beyond being able to sort practically but but deep rehabilitation psychologically. I have a uc migration letter come through. There idea is to leave on my own every 2 weeks some pop on my visit do graded exposure taking bin bags out and in 6 months say cooey olla to world with no support and be able to be cured. I've been out 15 times in ten years to GP with someone of trust and in unfamiliar places with no support ptsd sets in and some poor soul in front of me I think it's my rapist reliving the event one of many. Which consequences for me and the poor person in front. They are my only source of contact to anything. Support everything I'm stressing about migrating uc with letter arrived when thet are my source of support medical evidence a possible atom bomb to my mh and income and life .

This Is my only safe space I can't tell them . As the first thing they would say well you've proved us right
