Move From ESA
Hi,
I have been on ESA for years and last week switched over to Universal Credit. I just recieved a message in the journal asking for a fit note as 'you have not yet had a Work Capability Assessment outcome for your health condition'.
I had an assessment back in Feb/March and was moved into the Support Group so does anyone know why they are now saying that I have not had an assessment?

It's because UC have picked up on your health condition, but don't yet know you are migrating from ESA.
Was there a box to tick for this when you applied?
They supposedly added one so people aren't asked incorrectly for Fit Notes.
I'm personally still advising people to add a note on your Journal stating you are migrating from ESA Support Group, and to allow several weeks for ESA to communicate your status with UC.
In the meantime you can safely ignore that request as it's not required for you to supply a Fit Note.

Thank you very much for your answer. They did ask if you are moving from ESA but I couldn't tell you how it was asked.
I added a note on the journal and selected it as 'message for my work coach' is that the correct option?

I think that is fine, I'd probably have gone for "service issue", you can always add it again if you want to.

That wasn't an option for me. Thank you for the reassurance.
