They most likely looked at that to get information from it. Is this your first time of claiming PIP? why did your DLA end, if you don't mind me asking.

I remember going to an assessment (.physically assessment)and back then I just had mental health problems no physically problems like I have now.I was very emotional. The assessor actually got really upset herself but they wrote to me and said I wasn't entitled to pip and I never chased it up because I was just not well enough mentally

Ah so you applied for PIP and were refused so your DLA ended. Then they would have looked at the information from your previous PIP claim, they very often do that even if it's several years later that you try claiming again.

But Poppy that was 7 years ago and I've got more diagnosis since then.my life has dramatically altered in how these affect me.I know I made this clear ( well Atleast I thought I did). But knowing how emotionally upset I was and reading this very cold piece of paper is like two totally different accounts.I really am shocked.I know they can only go on what people tell them and I appreciate they have to make fair judgement call. But surely all my medication and from what I've told her about my daily life is enough.Even with all my truths of being able to cook surely I'm entitled to help when I'll perhaps I shouldn't have said I went on holiday for the first time in 13 years.

It seems common for people to be declined initially and then agreed when it goes to tribunal.
A local benefits advice should be able to help with the tribunal.
Certainly the money can help but I'm always aware I need to be prepared that I may not always have it so I don't see it as part of my income as such because I know you can lose it so easily.

Not a problem at all @Jane315STARX please don't worry about it, lots of people get us mixed up and I'm never offended as Rachel is lovely. Always nice to be mixed up with someone lovely 😊

I find watching YouTube help me sleep I know it's not great and definitely advisable.
Following the advice I find lavender & lavender pillow spray helps me sleep as well as a sleep meditation podcast.

Yes I know it was 7 years but that doesn't stop them from looking back. You said you made it clear to them how your life has dramatically changed now but what sort of information did you give them? It's fine to give the information but was it relevant to the descriptors?
Telling your life story isn't helpful, you need to be straight to the point. Giving a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Then include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
Going on holiday once should not have made any difference because PIP is about the majority of the days and a holiday isn't. It's just a short period of time outside of your usual comfort zone.
I know it's difficult but you need to put all the reasons for refusal behind you, that's all in the past now. Move forward and start the MR request by putting that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.
In my opinion saying a person "deserves" PIP is wrong. We claim it because we are entitled to it. We meet the descriptors and score enough of points needed for an award.

Yes this is all very useful Poppy thank you very much indeed.I am now going to rewrite my m.R Again to include more and point out that going on holiday for 7 nights in 13years definitely doesn't reflect how I am on the majority of days although I was affected whilst I was away

I've lost my page 2.my son has moved it and now I don't remember what the descriptors were points etc that I'm trying to say where I think I should have
