Hello Say for example one health condition is CP, do you then list the associated health and disabilities that are connected with it as separate conditions as affecting ability to work. eg fatigue, incontinence, learning /cognitive needs etc

Thanks

The main condition is generally enough.

I have ME so wrote that, rather than all the problems it causes me.

Thank you. Both myself and my husband are severely disabled but only one person can be the main claimant with me added on as the partner. So I don't get to do a WCA in my own right which I would qualify for if the system allowed. So is there a box where I can explain my own disabilities and how it prevents working.as I have explained on previous forms so that it's clear and to avoid pointless work focused interviews.when I should also be technically in the SG. Do I put it all down in the journal if there's no box on the form?

My husband also has LD as well as PD so I provide support in terms of his LD but don't claim CA. Do I need to include this as well

If your husbands PIP includes Daily Living, then you can claim Carers Element under UC.

This would bring your claim up to the maximum for a couple:

    1x LCWRA (your husband)

    1 x Carers Element (yourself).

Being a carer would remove you from any work obligations.

If you are having difficulty with the application, Citizens Advice offer a Help to Claim service

Thank you for the advice. I should be considered LCWRA based on my heath and conditions so I will make sure this is documented in the journal. Checked with helpline and this would affect transional protection.

As I'm am also severely PD , it is support for LD and mental wellbeing needs so it makes it more complicated in terms if if someone then needed to potentially claim CA for myself and then the possibility of a PIP review even though I would only be providing LD support and it obviously wouldn't have an impact on my claim but it still could potentially trigger a review I believe. The problem is that most of the forms treat you as if there is only 1 disabled person in the household and they expect the other person as non disabled. It just seems to be how a lot of organisations view it.
