Hi, my name is Anitamc67! Hello, please could you help me make sense of my LCWRA award?
Hello, please could you help me make sense of my LCWRA award? I put my first sick note in on the 1st of May just after setting up a UC account.I had my assessment in August and on the 6th September I was told I had been awarded it .I am now told that I won’t receive a payment until the 7th of February 2025 is that correct? Thanks in advance

How many days was it between setting up your UC claim, and providing the first Fit Note?
Any gaps in providing Fit Notes to UC, any that were backdated etc?

A few more questions.
Do you have Transitional Protection on your claim?
Do you claim UC with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?
Are you sure the outcome was LCWRA, and not LCW?
Is there any mention of LCWRA on your most recent statement?

Hi @Anitamc67 welcome to the online community! 🙂
I can see @Kimmy87 has asked a few follow up questions to help better, so I won't add anything more at this stage.
I hope you don't mind but I've made a slight change to your title, just to make it easier for other users who might have some advice to find. I hope that's ok.
Best wishes,
Holly.

Hi , not sure about the protection and there’s no mention of LCWRA on my statement but I have the letter to say I was awarded it and I’ve phoned twice about it and was told just today that yes I had been awarded it and they would pass my questions on .I’m single so no ther claims .Thank you

If your UC included Transitional Protection then you would see that on your statement.
Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be as follows.
June, July, August… LCWRA starts from 1st August to 31st August and first payment should be 7th September.
I know the question of backdated fit notes has been asked and you said none were backdated. The fit notes need to have been continuous so for example, if one fit note ended on 15th of the month, you would have needed to provide a fit note from 16th of the month. If you were late providing it and it was backdated to 16th then this will be what your issue is.
If you weren't late reporting the fit notes then put a message onto your journal under the payment section and ask about the LCWRA element. Tell them the date you provided your first one and tell them when it should be paid from.
