Been on incapacity benifit 2008 till 2013

Changed to ESA 2013 till 2022

Voulentarlly moved over to UC 2022

Now get cbesa every two weeks

UC end of every month

Always had my ib/ESA paid in to a joint savers book account with my mum

UC goes into a debit card account of mine

Questions .…

1 . All those years back when I first started claiming incapacity benifit , and gave them details of my joint savers account I'm not sure if I ever said my mum was on it too .…maybe I just gave my name , account number and sort code , it's only ever been used for my benefits and swapping money between my other accounts and never had savings in , will this be ok ?

2. Some years back my mum got a divorce from my dad and moved address , because she was the first name on the account , when nationwide changed her address they also changed my address on the account to her new one , even though I've never lived anywhere else but my original address .... Since then my parents reconciled and are back together and she has been living at home again , the addresses are now back to normal and have been for the last 5 years but from a period of 2012 to 2019 my address was wrong , with all these reviews and even more terrifying the bank checking , surveillance and eligibility verification will this flag up ?

3. I also had two undeclared bank accounts 1 for 8 years and 1 for 7 months .... I never declared them so am I right in thinking they shouldn't be or should never have been on Thier system ? .... They have been closed for just over six years and five respectively..... No savings ever in , one always overdrawn by 2000 in the entirety of having it , and one never savings in .... Reason I'm worried was so many transactions of friends family lending me money and I had a terrible gambling addiction and I'm worried they would look through it all , also it would open a can of worms for 4 undeclared PayPal's I had over the years , again never savings but fairly large amounts going in and out and people lending me money , only ever spent winnings a couple of times on anything for myself and most often just went in then back out the next day gambled again ....

Never been over 6000 in a singular account , bank , PayPal or otherwise and never been over 6000 spread out across all at anyone time .... PayPal's have been shut for different periods , first being around 5 years most recent 3 years ...I joined GameStop a couple of years back and haven't gambled since .... I haven't been outside for coming up to five years and suffer from chronic OCD and intrusive thoughts

It feels like I'm just waiting to be flagged up and caught and sent to prison .... Will these UC reviews and even more worrying bank checks , monitoring and eligibility verification checks , open all this up ?

The standard request for bank statements during a UC check is the previous four months worth.

You would absolutely not go to prison!

I believe occasionally a very small fine is issued if people haven't declared capital over £6 or £16k.

That is literally the worst that would happen.

Its all the new eligibility verification etc that terrifying me , it's the not knowing .... Will they go back more than a couple of years , will it only be 6 months ...

Sickfl of being so scared .... My blood pressure is through the roof .… It never was before , proof that the DWP make people's conditions worse

As I advised the standard request during a UC check, is the previous 4 months of bank statements.

1/ Yes, it will be fine because your UC claim is yours and not your mums. They are only interested in capital of more than £6,000.

2/ Can't see there being any issues here and I'm not sure why you think there would be.

3/ They will not be interested in bank accounts that have been closed for all those years. You do not need to declare all of your bank accounts, even if they were still open. All they are interested in is if you have capital of more than £6,000. If you never have had more than £6,000 and you said you never have then there's nothing to worry about.

I know I've advised you about this before and if you remember my advice has never changed in all that time. I realise it's difficult to try to relax but please try. You have nothing to worry about.

Why do you think you'll be sent to prison? You've not done anything wrong and not had capital of more than £6,000 so you will not be sent to prison.

    Thanks poppy ....

Just incase with this eligibility verification and bank monitoring I thought they may see that on our joint account I was at another address for 8 years even though I never was .... Although it's been correct since mum moved back and that's been over 5 years so I'm pretty sure they would only check back the last year or so anyway when they start .... To be fair I think it would be the same with closed bank accounts , theve never been declared so they should of never been on Thier system and the only ones they should have are the ones they pay into and Thier the only two active accounts I have , I don't think when this new fraud and error bill comes to pass they will be checking back on everyone's banking history for the last 6 years , it would probably only be the present and If that's the case it should be ok 😌

I have the worst kinds of OCD , I have the worst kind of fears and intrusive thoughts , things I could never say on here , but because I'm not in anyway a bad person these thoughts scare the life out of me because I'm a decent person , anything sets me off , can't even watch TV anymore , had alot of home GP visits as I can't get out and my blood pressure is dangerously high at the min , it's terrifying because with OCD you can't switch off it's with you always , so obviously it's making my blood pressure worse , thanks for your reassurance , happy new year to you 😌
