Feedback on being an advocate
Have you been an advocate for a disabled friend or family member? Or has a disabled friend or family member asked you to be an advocate and you’re not sure if it is something you want to do?
We're creating a new webpage for the Scope website and would love to hear from you. If you'd be willing to help, please email Content.Core@scope.org.uk.
It would involve speaking to us about your experience and giving us feedback on a page of information. The session will last around 1 hour.
We will send you a £40 voucher for your time. You will remain anonymous.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Not quite certain what you're looking for here Ema. Some time back I represented my brother at a tribunal, he has autism and was being kicked out of his job. I have no formal experience, not trained as a solicitor or anything, and it was a lot of work contacting others, getting statements etc. We weren't successful in keeping him in his role, but under the circumstances with the working atmosphere it was probably best he left, and I probably made his leaving as best as could be. It's a while ago now but if I could be of help, let me know…

Hi Ema, I see you replied really early so hope you've not been waiting too urgently for me to get back, been busy today… But I have had a bit more of a think + realise it was around 20 years ago, so I'm a bit hazy! Though if I'd be any help / give advice I'd be glad to do so. If you like we can have a bit of a chat first so you can decide whether I'd be any real use to you. I'd be really glad of the voucher but wouldn't want you to feel obliged if you don't get a lot out of it. I'll head over to email now + send you off a message : )
