Absolutely fed up with dwp
From a bad assessment to the response I get when I ring, un delivered mail from 4 weeks ago still not arrived, SAR delivered with the last assessment missing and no one can give me any answers!
The assessor in my case advised me to apply for a Blue badge, the rest of the report was an absolute joke, yes the complaint is in still waiting on the outcome , letter sent 6th December 2024 apparently.
Applied for blue badge with the same information as I have sent to dwp for my MR with regarding my difficulties and would you believe my blue badge is on its way,
Will help enormously,
Why do we have to fight so hard π«

I'm pleased you got your blue badge sorted @karen19862, but I know many will share your frustrations with DWP.
Have they sent the assessment now or given any feedback on your complaint?

Thank you, nothing apparently the response to my complaint was sent 6th Dec and when I rang on the 18th they said they would send it again and still nothing , I rang maximus again this morning after no reply to the several e mails and the lady was lovely, she sent an e mail to her boss to find out what was happening and for them to ring me but won't be holding my breath, seems odd that the last assessment is not in this paperwork doesn't it.

Well still had no response to my complaint to maximus! 20 days my eye!! This has been going on since 13th Nov.
However I've just spoken to a lovely fella at the MR dept at pip and he told me that there has been a couple of changes to my assessment report and maximus had responded to them but wouldn't go into detail as I am still only a little way through my MR and it's not been looked at. I'm hoping for a positive result but not holding my breath as it's still in the queue and the 15 weeks arnt up to 6th March.
Eased my mind a little.
So fingers crossed

Oh blimey @karen19862 what a wait! Though every day you've waited is a day closer to getting a decision. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

Thank you Albus
I'm thinking the report will have been changed before being seen by the decision maker but as MRs don't often change the outcome maybe some points to take to tribunal hopefully.

Maximus have agreed that my report was not up to standard not sure if it will help but never be afraid of complaining if you have a poor assessment.

Finally received the letter dated 6th December. Post marked 3rd Jan the mind boggles. But I have been in touch with Dwp and the assessors report has been re done and points awarded, whether it's enough I'm unsure of yet but fingers crossed I get a nice decision maker π

Wow, that's shocking! What on earth is happening with the mail @karen19862. I'm pleased at least that you've had some good news about the award and I hope you get the outcome you want money wise. π

Thank you , this was my 4th attempt and everything was checked using you guys with advice on here so the assessment was just a joke.
Hoping for an award but will ring again Monday for an update then if I've got good news then will update x

There are a lot of really knowledgeable members on here! I think they should be running DWP. Wishing you all the best. Hope you get some good news Monday. βΊοΈ

Watch this space and thank you x

Received the new assessment report today, and it has been changed, looks like 8 points for DL and 4 for mobility and I will be extremely happy with it if the DM goes with it , hoping and praying they do, the waiting is doing nothing at all for me mentally.

That's really promising news @karen19862! Wishing you the best for the decision. π
I know it's easier said than done, but try to keep distracted. You've had a win today which is really brilliant news.
Holly.

Thank you x fingers crossed, it actually cried its so stressful hoping the DM goes with it now. The dressing one has thrown me a bit as she's marked needs an aid or appliance, I'm not sure what that means as I cannot dress my upper body and can't see what aid I would use so hopefully the DM won't mark that down.

Ps should I give them a ring just to ask before decision is made? I don't want to rock the boat if you know what I mean

I'd say if there's anything you're worried about and a conversation with them to clarify will make you feel more at ease, then do it. π

Thank you Holly xx I will give them a ring hopefully they won't remove the points if I question it x
