Bit confused
Pip called me this morning about my tribunal win. She said on the 3rd Feb ( next payment had one on 6th January) my payment will still be old rate and my new rate will commence beginning March.
She they said my backpay will be paid up till 3rd January day of the tribunal. I thought I would get back from date I applied ( 19th July 2023) till date my new rate kicks in?
Thank you in advance

From what you've said, it sounds like your backpay will be paid up to 3rd January, then your new rate will kick in for March's payment. They'll send a letter which will break it all down for you though.
So you will get the back pay, which will be paid separately. What they mean is your new rate for PIP wont start until March.
When they say "paid up til" they mean they've calculated the back pay from x date (I'm guessing the application date) up until 3rd January 2025. Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I'm explaining things well today.

I understand you lol and that's what the lady said. I thought my backpay would be paid uptil I get new rate which is in March. If it's only going until January 3rd it means I'm 2 months short?
I don't want to sound ungrateful because I really am but it's just all so confusing haha
Thank you for replying

Once the award is put into payment you should start to receive the new payments. I think the advice you were given about not receiving them until March was incorrect. If the money they owe you is paid up until 3rd January then your next 4 weekly payment after that should reflect the new award.
