As she only gets state pension, then she is not entitled to the winter fuel payment I'm afraid.

Hi jason,
Octopus energy is offering winter fuel payments of £50 £100 or £200 to any pensioner not eligible for the government winter fuel payment because they don't receive Pension Credit.

Octopus Energy customers I mean..
I can recommend them for all sorts of reasons. When I recently changed to a fixed 12-month contract ,the unit prices fell for both fuels! There is no early exit fee on this contract.
They offer free energy sessions and credit for reducing use when the grid is overloaded. I am not tech savvy but find their website very accessible and clear.

Stay Warm with Free Energy Vouchers and Heated ThrowsScope's Disability Energy Support service is here to help you stay warm and manage your energy costs.
Free energy voucher
If you meet the following criteria, you could be eligible for an energy voucher worth £150 to put towards your energy bills:
- You or a member of your household are disabled, or have an impairment or condition.
- You use a credit meter, not a pre-payment meter. A credit, or standard meter, is one that constantly records your energy usage and where you are typically billed once a month.
- You are struggling to pay for heating or energy costs.
If you have previously received but not redeemed a voucher through our service, you can apply again.
Free heated throw
We can also offer customers a free heated throw. This energy-efficient option can help you and your household stay safe and warm.
