Another PiP Review Delay Text
Says today they looking to review it I may need a health assessment or I should update them immediately if anything changed. I am dreading another health assessment if I need one of those . It's been 3 years now since first claimed. Thanks everyone you are all so supportive it really is a lovely community and it's so helpful I wish I could help others more but I don't know much to do this .So sorry I always seem to be asking not helping others.

Hi Topcat71,
Unfortunately, I can't help you but I can sympathise with you! I'm still waiting for a PIP Court Tribunal to establish my eligibility for PIP. The process is very slow, and seems worse when you're on 'tender hooks' all of the time hoping it will go through smoothly. If it is any consolation, a friend of mine's daughter has just won a Court Tribunal after a long process. So hopefully worth the wait.
If you have had changes to your circumstances health or otherwise, it is probably advisable to inform DWP or whoever is managing your review. I've had several health issues (some still ongoing) that I have kept the Court Tribunal informed of.
Wish you well and a successful outcome.

That's just a standard text that they send during the review process. I had a few of those during my review. It doesn't mean you will 100% need another assessment. Your file could still be with DWP and not yet been sent to the assessment providers because for reviews they are sent to the decision maker first, to see if a decision can be made without an assessment.
For my most recent review my file wasn't sent across and a decision maker just made the decision so no assessment report was actually written.
Delays are very long and yes it's frustrating, try to think of something else while you wait but I know that's difficult.

Please be aware that the Tribunal will not take into consideration any worsening of condition since the assessment took place.

Wishing you all the best with this @Topcat71 Hopefully you won't have to do another medical assessment.
Please keep us updated with how you get on if you're happy to.
Best wishes,
Holly.

I found the lcwra assessment really good the doctor who phone me was really nice and caring. This was done last June . It's a shame all these departments cannot work from the same page. I recently had another steroid injection to my knee and another to follow in left knee in a month time and continued thereafter. The doctor at my surgery said will write a letter if I need it. Main problem I work 12 hours but going down stairs my knee keeps locking causing me to nearly fall down stairs. I want to try keep going to work but pain starting to take over some days so unsure what to do really. Thanks for all your kind support.

That's nice to hear! I'm sure it was a reflection of how pleasant it was to speak with you. @Topcat71
That's no good for your knee. It makes me think of your reasonable adjustment rights. I wonder if you could speak to work about looking in to how they can accommodate you better. Is there a ground floor you could work from?
Just looking at the reasonable adjustments area on the government website. Ground floor working is actually listed as one of the adjustments. I've added the link too if you wanted to do a bit more digging.
