hi in due to migrate in march to UC I claim esa income based and contribution based, when it comes to prescriptions in the 5 week assessment period what do I do as I know I’ll be due my medication any help is appreciated thank you.

You have two options.
As UC is paid monthly in arrears, you can still tick the UC box for a free prescriptions before your first statement.
If that would cause anxiety, you can pay and request a receipt (FP57), then after you get your first statement, take it into any pharmacy for a refund.

Don't forget that your Income Related ESA continues for 2 weeks after you submit your claim for UC so if you need your prescription in that time then you'll be covered through ESA still.
