Good afternoon! I was just wondering, does a migration letter still mean I have to fill out forms about my illnesses the same as the questions on the pip form please?

Thanks in advance ☺️

It depends which benefits exactly you migrate from? PIP isn't part of UC so that continues as normal.

Thank you for your reply and lovely to see you are a cat lover too!

I get the high rate mobility and living component and ESA.

Do you know if there are alot of questions to fill out and if I can get a paper version for someone to fill out on my behalf please? 🙏

As it's an ESA migration then no, you won't have to go through another Work Capability Assessment.

There are no paper forms for UC.

You can apply and run it via phone, but the online account (known as the Journal) is much easier for application and claim management.

Citizens Advice have a service to help support people with the claim

    Thank you Kimmy.

Do you know difficult it is and does that mean you can have a break in between before finally submitting please?

Once you sign up, you have 28 days to complete and submit the form.

It's a fairly simple application, Citizens Advice can assist through each step.
