Pension Credit

Hi everyone. I claimed Pension Credit back in September (23rd). To date I have not heard anything other than my claim had been received. I called them 2 weeks ago to ask when I am likely to hear about my claim. They told me they cannot give estimates anymore (it used to be within 9 weeks) but that I would hear in due course. Has anyone else claimed Pension Credit and if so how long did you have to wait? Thanks in advance.

There are exceptionally long delays with Pension Credit claims and it’s been this way for a couple of years at least. Some have waited as long as 10 months. Hopefully you’ll hear something soon. If there’s entitlement it will be paid from when you claimed.
