Can we have a new board for Scotland's ADP please?

Hi,

Just thought it would be handy to pull all the ADP stuff together and have a section for ADP which is going a different way from pip with regards how it's administered.

Also the new carer's allowance in Scotland (which i forget the name of even though i'm on it!!)

Make things easier to find for folks wanting info re these new benefits?

Thanks for the feedback @anisty I'll be sure to pass it on to the powers that be. 😊

Wouldn't ADP come under the section for PIP/DLA and AA as they are all disability benefits.

Carers allowance in Scotland is now called Carers Support Payment. We don't have a section on carers allowance itself either.

Well it could do but then it would be helpful to have it listed. When i went over to the board as my son is due to complete the transfer from pip to ADP this month and just wanted to see how others had found it - i could not find anything on ADP.

Plus, i was put off starting a thread there as the board is full of posters understandably worried about potential changes to pip. As i don't think these changes will affect ADP, it did not seem appropriate for me to pop in there in the midsts of the panic!

Ah - yes, thanks - Carer's support Payment!

I wasn't actually thinking of a separate area for that as a standalone - i thought maybe it could be a 'Scottish section' where folks could discuss ADP or CSP specifically.

As things currently are, i didn't find it too obvious where to look for or post about ADP. But that might just be me . . . .

    hi,

I applied for ADP in Dec 24 and have called this morning to see whether any further information was required as I have a visit with my GP today. They told me a decision has been made but weren’t able to disclose what that decision is, they haven’t contacted my GP and my husband I both submitted a letter as supporting information. I’m thinking it was so quick that it will be a decline…. My claim is for anxiety and fibromyalgia

Hmmm. I received notification a few months ago to say the transfer process for my son's move from pip to ADP had started and would complete in January.

So - was expecting the first payment of ADP this month - but, no - still seems that my son is on pip.

    Maybe next month . . .

Good luck to you @lola20 🤞

Well - mixed news: my son has transferred to ADP same payment.

But his award will be reviewed in August 2025.

Whereas his pip was november 2026 (pushed on a year due to covid)

Still, there's no reason why he shouldn't qualify again so hopefully it will be plain sailing🤞
