LCWRA AND PIP

hello, I receive LCWRA and PIP for my mental health conditions.

I am starting to go out and trying to be more independent which is helping me to feel better in myself. I still require help on some occasions.

I would like to know with me now being able to do things without requiring alot of help as I did previously would this be classed as a change of circumstances and need to be reported as a change of circumstances in my health to pip and uc? If so how do I go about this?

I am confused as although things are starting to improve, my health conditions are still there and I haven’t fully recovered its just things are starting to feel more easier if that makes sense, so I am not sure what is the right way to go about it as I don’t want to be in trouble aswell. Thanks for reading.

I'm no expert, but I think you've answered your own question. It sounds like change of circumstances to me.

It's not quite as straight forward as the advice given above. For PIP it depends where exactly you scored those points. Remember, for PIP you do not need to be affected every single day. It's the majority of days that count, so at least 50% of the days over a 12 month period. It's not the help you receive that counts, it's the help you need, even if you don't receive that help.

There's also the 3 month backward rule and the 9 months forward rule to consider too. Which means you must have had the changes for at least 3 months and expect them to last at least a further 9 months. If this doesn't describe you, there isn't anything to report.

For LCWRA again, it depends on which descriptor applied at the time.
