Pip tribunal

Hi everyone I was after some advice about my pip tribunal? I contacted them September 2024 as I’ve been refused pip twice. I have osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia which has gotten a lot worse. I was hoping to not be waiting too long but now worried it’s going to be another several months. DWP sent me a huge bundle of paperwork with everything I and them had sent to me. They are arguing that my condition only worsened later on so they were justified in their scoring. I’ve been in so much pain and kept reapplying but they still didn’t score what I felt I needed. I did the online pip test and came out scoring 13 for daily living element and 16 for mobility as this explains exactly what I need help with in regards to what I can do. Since October I’m no longer working in my lunchtime Job as I had a few falls last year and suffer with my balance. I’m so upset they have literally ignored everything I have said and I sent medical evidence. So everything I have I sent to the tribunal as I’m desperately struggling and need help. Is it standard to wait at least a year? Thank you for listening.

Hi, most people do have to wait several months for a tribunal I'm afraid. There's nothing you can really do to speed up the process unfortunately.

Please be aware that they will not take into consideration any worsening of condition since the assessment took place.

Tribunal waiting times have increased considerably and some are waiting about a year from the time they submitted their claim.

The PIP self test is not reliable at all unless you fully understand the descriptors, not many people do. It’s very easy to over score and even under score yourself.

thank you, I had a feeling it would be a long wait, I just wondered if anyone had information on the process. I had to wait for medical evidence which I sent and have also sent to the tribunal team which backs up how long I have been suffering, universal credit have assessed me as LCWRA. Thank you for replying to me I really appreciate it.
