Query about Universal Credit Migration.
My wife, who receives contribution based and income related ESA, has not received a Universal Credit migration letter. I telephoned 0800328564 and an agent said it was not the correct number for an enquiry about the migration letter. I was advised to telephone 0800 1690328. On doing so I was greeted by a answering service which gave me two options, the first for existing Universal Credit claims and the second advised me to contact the relevant department for claims. In short, both telephone numbers were of no use to obtain theinformation I was seeking. I wonder, therefore, who do I telephone for such information?
My concern is that if a UC migration letter was sent to my wife and was lost in the post, ascountless thousands are, it could have dire consequences so far asthe migration protection is concerned, with the ceasing of benefits such as Housing Benefit.
The media recently reported that thousands of legacy benefit recipients did not respond to UC migration letters and consequently lost their benefits, or at least had them stopped.
I understand that once a migration letter is sent a reminder follows about two weeks before the final date and that a SMS to claimants’ telephone. This is not an entirely satisfactory method in my opinion and this is why I tried, in vain, to obtain information through the two above telephone numbers.
If anyone can provide me with a telephone number or address for the UC, which can give me a satisfactory answer to my query I would be most grateful.

Migration will be anytime up to December 2025. There’s many people that haven’t yet received their letter, myself included.
She would also receive texts and/or letters reminding her she needs to claim once the letter is sent out.
The migration notice helpline is 0800 169 0328.

I had several letters, and a text message. They can't all go astray, don't worry.

That is great to know. Many thanks Ranald.
