Grants or loans for roof repair

hi, I wonder if anyone has any advice or experience in being able to get a grant or loan for a roof replacement?

I’m a single, disable mum with a teenage daughter. I can’t work and ex has suddenly stopped paying maintenance and seemingly dropped off the planet, so I can’t get a loan. I own the house with a mortgage, so can’t get any help from the council, and unfortunately ex is still named on mortgage so remortgaging is out of the question.

Sounds like you could use some legal advice regarding the mortgage, which unfortunately we cannot provide, but I'd recommend speaking to the mortgage company to see if you can get the name changed.
