I applied for the electric blanket & energy

You can also keep warm with hot water bottles or microwaveable heat bags (free if you make your own using wheat grains or rice)
Humans have survived millennia without central heating or electric blankets.

- Hot water bottles and heat bags last maybe 1.5h in dire cold, don't know where you live, maybe in the Caribic, Hawaii, Jamaica or Mallorca.
- Humans had a thorough coating of fur back then and now suffer the consequence of getting the flu twice / thrice yearly on average

My room thermometer says 8 degrees and I'm fine wrapped up in my layers.
I don't get colds or flu' and I've never had Covid!

Well aren't we glad you are so able-bodied, what about the rest of us temperature-dependent disabled folks out there? Get the stick, get the shaft? Shall we just all abandon any comfort for your single-minded narrative?

It's not my fault if you cannot keep warm!
We all need to maintain a stable temperature.
I will leave you to squabble with someone else.

It is your fault, everything is your fault, I thought you knew that?! :-P

Hi all. Please can we try to keep it supportive to one another. 💛

Hi, Has anyone heard anything about the £150 energy voucher or blanket yet ? do they call you up or just send out ? emailed them again but no reply as of yet :(

Hi @sunshine2025 just wanted to let you know I've seen your comment and raised this.

I received it through my energy supplier

I haven't, none of it, not even a confirmation email from scope.

I think there's a bit of confusing here, if was the Home Warm Discount I received not anything from Scope.

I thought it may have been the WHD you received and not the £150 from scope. This thread is referring to the energy support payment of £150 from scope and the electric throw.

Yes, that's why I'm saying there's a bit of confusing
0 -
Well that's the gist of it, the original webpage on scope mentions nothing of "Warm Home Discount", albeit that discount is being discontinued as well. This £150 is additionally also supposed to be a separate payment from utility provider's own fund for the vulnerable, as it was claimed by them not by the charity Scope. So in total there are 3x potential funding sources.

The person that started this conversation asked about the energy discount, I thought they were talking about the one you receive from your energy supplier

Makes sense, it is indeed confusing, I think we can all attest to that. As for me, I don't see why errors have to be explained or justified on this forum, you seem very understanding and a tolerant person, and unless you are getting rudely spoken to with bare facts, disengenuous help and platitudes and no mention of emotions like a few bad apples on here can make you think, I wouldn't worry. : )
