LWCRA
my partner got awarded LCWRA on the 4th January. He has been putting fit notes in since 13th September. Had no gaps inbetween this time. Our assessment period goes from the 14th each month and we get paid on the 21st each month. Should he have received his first pay in January or is it February? Thanks

Waiting period will be Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov, Nov/Dec.. LCWRA starts from 15th Dec to 14th Jan and first payment will be 21st Jan.
May I ask if the date of the first fit note was actually provided on 13th Sept or was that the date on the fit note itself? It's the date you actually provide it that counts.
If your UC includes Transitional Protection then this will be eroded once the LCWRA element is included. Whether you're better off will depend on how much Transitional Protection is included.

Hi,
The date on the fit note is the 13th and was provided on the 13th too.
I’ve contacted UC as to why nothing is in this months statement for LWCRA. They said they are still working out the money side of it 🙄 I’ll ring them up again tomorrow for someone to find out what is actually going on.

The decision was only 10 days ago, I'm not surprised it wasn't on this months statement.
Any money owed will be sent as a separate payment once it's been calculated.
You'll know when it's been done as a letter will be added to your Journal confirming the amount.
The money will arrive a few days later, and your next statement should then include the element.

They don’t state much in the letter once awarded. So, no harm in me asking as I’m getting no where!

I don't think anyone is suggesting there was any harm in asking questions. The decision letters are standard letters and never give any other information because everyone's case is different. Some are owed money and some are not.
