New to pip

hi

I just got awarded standard rate mobility (I got 8 points for walking between 20 - 50 meters) for pip (for 10 years) , I’ve also applied for a blue badge
I was wondering about like carer tickets to venues etc, as I do need help getting around and carrying things,

Would I get these carer tickets with just standard rate mobility element to my pip????? (i didn’t score enough to daily living to get that component)

Any advice welcome

Many thanks

May

Any rate of PIP would be fine. Are you going to challenge that decision? If so then the first step would be to request the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should put that request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.

    Hi @solitarypants

A CEA Card is good to look into as carers can go free to the cinema with you and if you live in Wales there is also hynt cards which allows free tickets for carers to lots of different theatres around Wales.

I was looking at the access card but to add the +1 as in I do need someone with me seems like a long winded thing to prove!
I’m happy showing my pip award letter to those that need it for a carer ticket!
As I’ve already said this is all new to me!
Live in England but I do go to wales every few years!!!
