I am concerned we do not live in a fair society anymore. Certain groups are given adequate amounts of money and we are not
We are harassed by this government and I know the Tories were the same but the Labour government is meant to be humanitarian by default.
As a disabled person who has an inherited condition I am constantly concerned that my money will be taken away from me. It is not alot anyway, but from a human rights perspective I am being discriminated against due to my condition that is inherited and causes multi organ problems. I.have a.dreadful debilitating disease which is complex and means I cannot cope with any kind of work . I am vunerable and we are still being put through undignified assessments, is this fair ? I believe this labour government is failing people like me, I didn't asked to be like this, I am in a physical prison with no choice and that makes this governments proposals cruel barbaric and regressive. I voted for the Labour party due to their political philosophy and this is not apparent in their treatment of people like myself. This whole approach to disabled people is safeguarding issue and I think is reminiscent of a right wing perspective. We are subjected to.an 1900 poor law objective eg the undeserving poor,.with subtle undertones that we are scroungers. Refugees are.persevered as requiring assistants, which.is fine but disabled people do.not.have the.priviledge of having a fully functional physical body and we are ⁹being penalised for that
This basic premise cause the suffering of innocent disabled.people like.me. This government is.meant to.be humanitarian and unfortunately it's failing. Why bully us we are a victim of tragic circumstances, and should be valued and protected by society not abused

Hi @Tam61 I just wanted to say welcome to the community and thank you for sharing your thoughts. I think a lot of people are feeling the same at the minute - there's a lot of conversations about this on the forum, and quite frankly everywhere. At Scope we've also been working in the background to influence those in power and hopefully (all being well) in early February there will be some campaigning opportunities. As soon as they're available we'll be sharing these with you all so watch this space!
Best wishes,
Holly
