I need some advice about universal credit my partner has health issues and I am currently caring for him we also have a son who turns 3 in May and going by the rules you have to start looking for work when they reach this age I am aware that universal credit provides child care for up to a certain amount of hours but I would have no one to take care of my partner and no one to take my son to and from nursery as my inlaws are also disabled and are unable to look after him I am unsure what to do any advice would be much appreciated thanks very much

Have you reported through your UC account that you care for him?
If so you are classed as a carer and you have no work expectations from UC, even when your child turns 3.

Yes he would need to be on one of the following:
Attendance Allowance
Pension Age Disability Payment (Scotland)
Disability Living Allowance or Child Disability Payment
Personal Independence Payment
Armed Forces Independences Payment
Constant Attendance Allowance
If he meets that criteria then you can also get Carers Element paid under UC, which is worth £198.31 a month.
