LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in.

No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

We will need a bit more information before we can advise correctly.

What date was his health condition reported to UC?

Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, including any backdated ones?

Your UC assessment period or payment date.

Do you have Transitional Protection on your claim?

September/October: Partial AP, excluded from waiting period.

    October/November: AP 1

    November/December: AP2

    December/January: AP 3

    January/February: Eligible for LCWRA element.

24th February: First LCWRA element paid

No money is owed in backpay unless LCWRA is missing from next statement.

This would mean they didn't have time to process the decision and owe you one months LCWRA element.

As previously advised, your claim will now have a work allowance of either £404 (if claiming Housing Element) or £673 (if not).

This will backdate to September and they will owe you money for this.

They will re calculate your past statements, and when this is done add a letter to your Journal confirming the amount owed. The payment will arrive several days later.

Were not claiming housing element so does that mean he should get £673 as on the UC it says £404

    LCWRA element is £416.19.

The £673 work allowance is the amount you can earn before deductions are made.

Currently UC deduct £0.55 from every £1 you earn.

With the Work Allowance (backdated to September) no deduction will be made until you earn £674.

This means as I advised they owe you money.
