Social services the relationship has totally broken down.

Owing to historic issues that started when I was a child
Social services got it badly wrong, I had one amazing social worker
sadly she burned herself out and had to quit, things got worse in the end
one social worker actually screamed at my mother who was getting over breast cancer
to "get the hell out of the room", My parents made a complaint about her and truthfully
that was the end, there's a whole lot more I cant post owing to the Nature of how badly they got things wrong, after Dad died I knew when they told me my condition had
gone into the CNS we were going to need help, So I wrote to the head of adult social services, heard nothing for months rung his secretary "he's on it will hear shortly"
more months past and this time the same person just replied "he wont be replying phone for a referral". Its to the very same place that the relationship had broken down
one of the suggestions I made could another office take over,
I just wonder please has anyone had an experience with Social services when it has totally broken down, I did ring the local charity about this and the other issue and they openly told me they had no idea, I know with my vision also going to be lost in around 9 months I need something in place now, The consultant again tried getting me into a care home but there is no way that is happening anytime soon.
I was under the impression if you wrote a non aggressive letter to someone like that they had to reply in some form? any advice would be brilliant please.

Hi @Vulcress I'm so sorry to read about your families experience with social services. Your poor Mum must have been horrified by the way they treated her. I hope she's ok now.
I can see why you escalated it to the head of adult social services but really shocked about the response (or lack of).
Sorry it's been a little while now since you initially posted so hopefully by now you've some new support in place. It'd be good to know how you're getting on if you're happy to share this.
Best wishes,
