Review decision text.

morning everyone.
I just received my text this morning saying my PIP review is now complete and I will receive a letter within 2 weeks.
I had no assessment at all not even a little phone call like last time. I’m not sure if this is good or bad.
Ny question is, do I have to wait the 2 weeks or can I find out the decision sooner? I’m not sure my nerves can wait knowing it’s now complete.
Thank you 😊

You've had what's known as a paper based assessment. That's a standard text you received and many people receive the same one. Yes, you can ring PIP to ask what that decision was and they should be able to tell you. Just because the text advises you not to ring, it doesn't mean you can't.

Thank you for the quick reply Poppy appreciated as always. My last 3 reviews have been paper based but I’m never sure if that’s a positive or not. I will have to call them later and gin to it I guess.
For anyone interested it took roughly 8 months from return of forms too this mornings decision text.

Here was me full of hope thinking you didn't have to resubmit your forms, so that maybe they had finally wised up that people with permanent conditions shouldn't have to go through the whole rigmarole again and that it would just be a paper based review of your condition, but guess that is wishful thinking.
Best of luck with your decision :)0 -
With reviews they do try to complete a paper based assessment when possible. Your forms are sent straight to the decision maker, rather than to the health assessment providers. From there they will look at your file as well as the form and any additional evidence you sent to try to make a decision without having to send your file to the health assessment providers. If they can, they will. Otherwise it will be sent across to them. Even at that stage, there's still a chance of a paper based assessment.

I have called them and it’s confirmed that I have had a paper based assessment and been awarded PIP daily living standard rate again. I’m pleased to be awarded again.

Do you think you should have scored higher at all? Just want to make sure that you are getting what you are entitled to! I understand being reluctant to appeal if you've been given an award, but also want to make sure that you aren't being given a lower rate than you possible should be.
