sorry to jump on your thread but I wondered if poppy would know what the rules are when a couple both claim pip and both on income support with migration coming up and both care for each other is that possible on uc and what would they be required to do care wise ?

Yes it is possible to have two carers elements payable in a couples claim, as they are caring for each other and not the same person.
Care wise the threshold is 35 hours of care a week.

hey @crazy12, I just split this off from that older discussion so there is no potential confusion 🙂 It is possible to care for each other as Kimmy mentions!

okay perfect does anyone know what the caring role must include for the dwp as it just says provide care 35 hours a week that’s fine they do but I wonderd if they have specific requirements of things they sit with each other remind each other about apointments help to prompt each other ect

Caring can include anything from sitting with the person you care for and just talking to them, prompting them, medication, pretty much anything at all. There's no other requirements and they do not check that you specifically care for them for that amount of hours, although many carers provide way more hours of care than that. Even more so if you actually live with that person.
