LCWRA/PIP for uni students

Hi can I check please . My daughter receives Pip and got awarded LCWRA a month before she started her uni course . Her maintenance grant included a special support element worth £4327. Whilst I understand a maintenance loan is for living and so is universal credit , as she hadn’t initially let them know they are saying there is an overpayment .
Does anybody know if 1. The special support loan is not taken into account ?2. She is able to keep her LCWWRA award ? 3. Is she allowed uc and the LCWRA when it is holidays I.e the month at Xmas she has just been here . The disabled team at uni have been very good and let her work from halls with her condition ( tho she has twice been home 12 days oct and nov) as she can work from her bed . I’ve been hit with the bedroom tax even tho I say to uc that she needs her bed at home for her condition ! Thanks in advance

The special support element is disregarded.
Yes the maintenance loan part will affect her UC and she should have reported the changes. How it affects it will depend on how much loan she was entitled to and how many UC assessment periods it’s included for. There’s also a disregard of £110/month.
The maintenance loan will reduce the whole of her UC and not just part of it.
There’s a good guide here, which includes how it’s calculated.
If there’s an overpayment of UC then yes it will need to be repaid back.
