Hi, my name is jhonterry! I'm disqualified from driving, but can my wife drive a Motability car?

i am currently disqualified from driving, my conviction start date was 26/10/2023 i believe i have to wait 5 years from this date to become illegible to "drive" a car on the mobility scheme, i am currently illegible to apply for a car because i meet all the requirements as i am on pip and have over 12 months left and i get the higher rate, would i be able to get a mobility car under my name on the lease but have my partner drive the car as named driver as she has a clean license for the last 5 years or would i still have to wait 5 years. September 2028 could somebody please clarify.

Hi @jhonterry, sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. Did you find an answer to your question? If not, it may be worth getting in touch with Motability themselves as they'd be the best people to advise you on what's possible.
Hope you manage to get some answers 😊
