Disabled parking
Hi, has anyone ever taken on their local council over disability parking? I live on a road where none of us have drives; one section of the pavements are enough for a pram only but either side of this there are many areas that you could park two cars next to each other and still allow scooters, prams etc to pass but you get a ticket if you use these spaces. Further more anyone from anywhere can park along the road which entails many staff that work at the hospital, including patients so they don't have to pay for parking at the hospital (yes the council charges their staff to park). It's taken me many years to build up the courage to drive again and I have now indeed taken on an automatic Motability car and have a blue badge…… some days it is agony to have to walk back from my car, never mind if I have to carry anything and I am stuck on crutches outside….. I've written to the council regarding this matter and I think the only thing that can be done is the whole street be made into resident's parking only….. anyone with a blue badge can use any disabled spot. Anyway I was just wondering has anyone out there ever tackled this issue before?????
Cheers
