WCA timescales

I have been waiting for a decision after my WCA for 6 weeks now as my assessment was in December. Why have some people had decisions already when they seem to have had their assessment after mine?

Assessment reports go to different Decision Makers who will all have varying workloads.
Sometimes assessment reports go to audit which delays it being sent to a Decision Maker.
Some assessment providers or individual assessors take different amounts of time to forward the report.
Basically there are lots of variables.

Timescales for decisions are up to 12 weeks. Backlogs are just part of the reason a decision can be delayed and each individual case is different. This is why you shouldn't compare someone else's claim to your own.
If your assessment report was sent to audit, this will delay the report being returned as well as the decision being made. The audit means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly.
